Do you think Obama's relationship with Jeremiah Wright should be an issue in the election?

Obviously you can't make judgments about a person based on every single person they have ever known, or had any dealings with. However, Obama called Wright his mentor, and attended his church for 20 years. He only denounced Wright AFTER he (Obama) was personally "offended"... not after Wright proclaimed God d**n America, or that that the US Government spreads AIDS to kill black people, or calls us the "US KKK of A". It was only after he (Obama) was personally offended that Obama finally had reason to denounce Wright. Obama has surrounded himself with Marxist's, Socialist, race lords and a wife that has never been proud of her country (until her husband became a media star)... he has a long running history of consistent hanging out with people who hate the America you and I love. So, yes, Wright is a relevant issue.

Is Rev. Wright an issue for Obama? It is my observation that OBAMA's reaction to Rev. Wright is more of an issue than the issue itself. The "me thinks ya protest too much" theory is apparent. An article on Yahoo news last sited a quote from a fellow senator. The JEST of that quote was in affect 'as fast as Obama is denouncing his former pastor & his former church, he may very well be an atheist by the end of the month". There's an old southern slang experssion of "the more you stir it, the more it stinks". It would seem it would serve Obama well to simply let the issue just die a natural death rather than allow HIS constant protesting and denouncing to breath new life into the whole of it.

The problem with Obama is not one particular association, one particular view or one particular piece of history... it's the compilation of all of it. The media lunges to explain away each INCIDENT or FACT, but you simply cannot get everyone to agree that the elephant is not standing in the room. If we have a socialist, Marxist President (Obama) and a fillibuster proof liberal Senate, we will witness a shocking, monumental increase in taxes, a demoralization of our defense, and a degradation of the American spirit so overwhelming, the 1960's will look like a Puritan movement.

This MUST be an issue.
1. How anyone can claim to be a faithful member of a so-called Christian congregation for so many years, while the leader of that congregation is preaching 'race hate' on a regular basis and yet deny any knowledge of or complicity in what has been said beggars belief.
2. 'Pastor' Wright is clearly NOT a true Christian. No-one who was would make such outrageous claims for what the bible says or use the Scripture to justify such hate-filled ranting. For that not to be clear to Obama means that he also is not someone who truly knows the Lord Jesus Christ as His only Saviour. His claim to be a Christian is based on self-deception - do you want such a self-deceived person leading the US?
3. Obama claims to be a 'close friend' of Wright and to have been 'inspired' by him as a 'mentor'. How so? When do you want to discover how so? After he has been elected? Will that be O.K.?

I would have to agree with Dominic. This is neither true Christianity, nor true American leadership. I have a question: why is it NOT racism for 98% of the black population to vote for Obama because he is black? Why is it AUTOMATICALLY racism for ONE person to vote for McCain because he is white, or NOT vote for Obama because he is black?

Sure it is an issue. How can it not be? You don't be friends with or attend a church for twenty years and NOT agree with the teachings. I pray America will wake up. Knowing the facts on Obama and his agenda, how can anyone vote for him?? The issue is clear...do we want him leading our country? No What we have here is old fashioned racism and double standards.. It is what it is. http://www.simpletruth-simplyput.com

The more that comes to light about Obama the more it is clear that he is: A die hard Marxist Socialist Not very smart Completely inexperienced Dangerous A racist through and through All soundbites and speeches... no substance And that's being kind by not getting into his comments about supporting the Muslims or appeasing murderous countries who have publicly declared their desire to destroy us.
